What I Would Tell My Younger Self

It’s been six years but it seems like a life time ago. So much has changed. So many people have come into my life and left just as fast. There as so many things I wish I knew and things I wish I did differently.

Here’s what would I tell my younger self!

1. Don’t be afraid to be yourself— first off, after you graduate you will probably never see any of those people again. Maybe when you are out shopping but that’s it. So who cares what they think. As long as you are happy with yourself then the judgments don’t matter.

2. Life is short— try something new for a change. Stop talking to new people and then never hanging out with them. Just do it. Have that running through your mind and you won’t have a list of regrets!
3. Take a risk— stop thinking about all the bad things that could happen; think about the good and the opportunities that could open up. Holding yourself back because you’re scared won’t help.

4. Love your body— wear the clothes you want to wear even if it’s a little tight. Even if your belly shows through. Even if you don’t look like some kind of super model. You are someone who is confidently wearing the clothes she loves and makes her feel beautiful inside and out.

5. Everything will be okay— the pain will pass and things will get better. The boy you’re in love with will become a distant memory. They friend who betrayed you will make you realize what you need from people and how you should be treated. Life will go on, many things will change, and you will get hurt. But it’ll make you grow into a better and stronger person.

  1. Great list, I’ll tell myself all of those things for sure. Another thing I’d tell my 15 year old self would be to work harder in school and outside of school because it will definitely help in the future. I’d also tell myself to enjoy being 15 while I can because growing up isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, get ready for those bills and real stress.
