Why You Should Do What Scares You

20th-6

Life is short. We’ve all heard this. But, I know for a fact that I’d rather step out of my comfort zone and try new things. Things that might lead me down a different path in life. Or lead me to new discoveries about my self. No one wants to live with regrets. Which why I’m writing this post. I believe we can learn a lot from our fears.

YOU’LL DISCOVER THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF

When you get thrown into a situation, especially one you’ve never been in before, you’re forced to make decisions and figure out what you need to do for yourself. You might be surprised by your actions and decisions but this will give you better insight.

YOU’LL LEARN WHAT YOU’RE CAPABLE OF

If you don’t try, you won’t find out what your body and mind is capable of doing, especially when put to the test. Maybe you end up changing your major in college or you quit a job. Sometimes, things hold us back a little and we don’t fully understand this until we are forced to face our fears.

YOU’LL FIND YOUR PASSION

Who knows, you might end up loving something. Or maybe you’ll hate it. Either way, you’ll understand where you stand and gain more knowledge of yourself. You’ll learn how to make the next move and how to make better decisions.

YOU WON’T MISS AN OPPORTUNITY

Don’t knock it until you try it. Doing something and it turning out to not be what you planned is better than not doing something and it turned out to be something great or better than you’d imagined. So take that chance and don’t miss out.

Thanks for reading everyone! I hope this post will make you feel more inspired and want to face your own fears. Have you ever learned something from a scary situation? Comment below so I can read about it!Screen Shot 2017-07-16 at 11.34.27 PM

  1. So agree! I’m scared of heights but I’ve been to summer fairs with rides that go really high and now I’m not as scared and realised what I’ve been missing.
