Having A Day Productive

Lately, I’ve been really lazy. I think it’s because my new bedroom doesn’t get much natural light making me feel sleepy. I try to get out and sit in my living room but it’s hard when EVERYTHING is in my room. Like my tv or my desk. Anyways, I thought I’d share a few things I’ve been working on to help me stay out of bed and be a little more productive with my days.

WAKE UP EARLY

I’m not much of an early bird but sleeping in until noon doesn’t help me be more productive. I feel more tired and groggy. That’s not fun. Wasting most of the day sleeping just makes you feel more lazy and unmotivated. I’m not saying you should wake up around 6 every morning. Maybe 8 or 9 would be better. Not too early and not too late.

HAVE AN ENERGIZING BREAKFAST

I usually start my day off with a glass of water and a light breakfast but also energizing. Like toast with peanut butter and honey. This gives me the boost I need instead of feeling sleepy an wanting to go back to bed. I’d also recommend a smoothie. Drink something nice and cold helps wake me up too.

START A TO DO LIST

Sometimes, I’m lazy and I don’t feel like doing anything. Which is why I force myself to make a to do list. It helps me think what’s important and what needs to be done. If I see my room is dirty and I really really don’t want to clean it. Then I’ll force myself to do it. The things I don’t want to do the most are at the top of my list of things to do.

DO SOMETHING UPLIFTING

This could be anything. Going for a walk or a light jog, listening to your favorite songs while dancing in the shower, or reading a book. You gotta do something that’ll help recharge your batteries and get you going. I think it’s important for use to do activities we love and ones that help inspire us.

TRY TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT

We all need to change things up every once in awhile. So if you like to walk or bike ride in a park, go to a new park and check it out. Or, if you need to do a little shopping, try some place different. You never know what you’ll find. I also think it’s best if we get out of our routines and comfort zone by doing things a little of course.

  2. I was so lazy before I got back to work this week. I have a very nice and free schedule which allows me to work on my online work, after my actual job, in the library. Just being out since early morning makes me feel better and do more. It even makes a difference when I go to bed at night. I sleep better if I feel accomplished and productive. I’ve been bad with my to-do list though. I’m definitely a list lover but I have been keeping things on my head, which is kind of stupid because my memory is not the best. I always drink water after I wake up too. I have to do it first thing. I wake up pretty thirsty so I usually drink a bottle of cold water (500 ml) after waking up, before even taking a shower. Then I need a big breakfast and definitely coffee. I don’t eat that much during the day but I wake up hungry ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry for such a long comment but I hadn’t read your blog in a while and I really liked your post โค

  3. I honestly cannot have a productive day if I’ve woken up late. As long as I’ve woken up early and have had a healthy breakfast, I always have a productive day. Thank for the tips! I’ll make sure to take the rest on board x

  4. I needed this as I’ve been feeling super lazy lately too! With working so much, anytime I get off- I just want to lay around or sleep haha gonna try to get stuff done this weekend with my two full days off (:
